OSB - Friends meal

On Saturday 10 June 2023, the VUB Alumni Association will be organising its Friends' Meal. After a number of 'silent' Covid years, we are resuming this tradition and also bringing it to another location. This year, we have chosen a lovely historical location with a social dimension. The Friends' Meal will take place in restaurant Belmundo, located in the buildings of the former Belle Vue brewery, which is part of the socio-economic project of Atelier Groot Eiland.

At this Friends' Meal, a number of honorary members will also be honored. And not the least!

- 'Premiere Dame' Freethinking: Sonja Eggerickx (former chairwoman UVV and IHEU) - VUB Eminence Grise: Eddy Van Gelder (former chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel) - Superhero incarnate: Prof. Dr. Gerlant Van Berlaer (Head of Intensive Care at UZ Brussel, member of B-FAST and human rights activist) - Walking Memory OSB: Geert 'Gorby' Royemans (former chairman OSB VUB vzw)

We provide a three-course dinner (aperitif with amuses bouches, starter, main course, dessert (incl. 2 drinks and coffee - water à volonté at the table) that is completely inspired by the seasonal products that are grown and prepared at Groot Eiland and within the principle of the short chain. As a result, we will not be able to inform you of the final menu until early June. You can let us know when you register whether you want the meat or vegetarian option.
